StickRPG was built fairly quickly (I could only guess at how much actual "dev time"), but also iteratively - one of the other strengths of Flash is that we can very easily push updates, fixes, etc. You can get a job, go to classes, do drugs, kill people, or just do random jobs for people. The Directors Cut adds new areas, about a dozen new jobs, new weapons, cheats, and offline support. Each of us started playing with coding in BASIC, early DirectX in Windows, and then saw Flash as a cool platform to not only quickly get graphics on the screen, but also the best platform for massive distribution and low "barrier-to-play" (as an aside, we still think Flash is the absolute best way to reach massive numbers). Stick RPG 2 is free online, but the Director's Cut is not. We're fundamentally "self-taught" programmers. All of us at XGen are motivated exclusively by exactly this. That's awesome, we love to hear these things.
